Between the 2nd and the 4th of February 2021, SentrySIS Software will be joining the Police ICT Company and their partners as part of its three-day virtual Police Digital Summit 2021 event.

The theme of this year’s event will focus on ‘maximising the digital opportunity’ and emphasise good practice from within policing that supports the National Digital Policing Strategy’s five key ambitions.

Delivered in partnership between the Police ICT Company and the National Police Technology Council, this year’s event boasts industry speakers from across UK policing, the Home Office and the police supplier technology sector.

The agenda will concentrate on digital, data and technology-based topics where keynote speakers and police-led breakout sessions will create debate, insight and industry learning for the 100s of registered delegates that will be attending.

Commenting on this year’s summit, Chief Executive Ian Bell said “We are living through the remarkable advances of a fully technology-enabled society, borne out of necessity but affording huge additional opportunities to policing and its public and private sector partners. Digital Policing Summit 21 focuses on the tangible delivery of the National Policing Digital Strategy, accelerated even more by recent events, citing content and examples of good practice from within policing. With some 600 delegates now registered, this is shaping up to be a high quality event and we are grateful to our sponsors for helping make it happen.”

The ethos of the summit is underpinned by the National Policing Digital Strategy 2020-2030 and will highlight the pace of technological change and its relationship with policing. The strategy has become even more apparent during the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic where technology has helped the police to adapt and revolutionise the way the sector interacts, plans and delivers its services.

Up to 50 technology-focused suppliers applied to become sponsors for this year’s Police Digital Summit 2021 but only those who demonstrated a natural fit with the event and aligned their services with the delivery of the National Policing Digital Strategy’s five key ambitions were shortlisted.

Chris Nriapia, Director at SentrySIS commented “We are really pleased to be supporting this year’s Police Digital Summit. To have been shortlisted from what I’m sure was a very competent field of police software suppliers, speaks volumes of what we have already achieved in this space. It’s clear from the agenda that the three days will spark some interesting discussions about how the police are exploiting technology such as SentrySIS to enable them to bridge the current technology gap and identify opportunities.”
