During the period from March 17th to 21st, the first ever National BCRP Awareness Week will be held, that highlights the vital and diverse contributions of BCRPs across the UK and the communities they support.
To commemorate National BCRP Awareness Week, SentrySIS will present a crime partnership each day, providing a detailed overview of their activities and enabling them to share their perspectives on the significance of being a BCRP in the United Kingdom.
Today we highlight UK Partners Against Crime.
UK Partners Against Crime (UKPAC) is a collaborative organisation dedicated to improving trading and community safety across the UK. It brings together businesses, local authorities, police forces, crime prevention agencies, and legal professionals, all working together to tackle business-related crime and its root causes.

For a membership fee of £20 per month, UKPAC provides a range of services to help combat crime and enhance safety:
Crime Reporting Platform – Members can access the UKPAC online information-sharing system powered by SentrySIS. This platform allows communities to self-manage the reporting of low-level crime and anti-social behaviour, supporting real-time collaboration with local authorities and strengthening community policing efforts.
- News and Intelligence Updates – UKPAC shares real-time updates on crime trends and emerging threats, ensuring members stay informed and can respond proactively.
- Regular Online Briefings – Members receive ongoing updates on initiatives, success stories, and developments within UKPAC, keeping them engaged and informed.
- Exclusion Notice Scheme – This initiative enables members to work alongside local police and use civil injunctions to prevent repeat offenders from causing ongoing issues in their communities.
- Support for Rehabilitation Programmes – UKPAC recognises that many incidents of retail and community crime are linked to drug dependency. The organisation supports local rehabilitation schemes that help offenders break free from addiction, reducing crime rates and saving lives.
- UKPAC compile the data and crimes reported by each of their members - This is to gain effective prosecution against repeat offenders. They also work directly with the police and local authorities to share the intelligence. Giving them the best opportunity to target offenders and to police our business communities effectively.
As a cooperative, UKPAC reinvests all surplus funds into crime prevention and reduction initiatives. Members can present schemes and community causes on how any funds are allocated, ensuring resources are directed towards the most impactful safety measures.
Chief Inspector, Marcus Cator Hampshire Constabulary said “We have seen some strong results with the support of UKPAC, who are helping to ensure the effective reporting of crime in venues that they assist. By sharing information on repeat offenders and a strong focus on supporting victims in the business crime community, this collaboration is bolstering our ability to relentlessly pursue criminals and deliver excellent local policing. ”
UKPAC also supports wider industry efforts, including the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) and the ShopKind campaign. The ACS represents over 33,500 local shops, advocating for their interests and providing essential support services.

Meanwhile, the Home Office-backed ShopKind campaign promotes positive behaviour in retail environments and raises awareness of the increasing issue of violence and abuse against shop workers.
In summary, UK Partners Against Crime operates across the UK, providing a platform for stakeholders to unite against business-related crime. Through intelligence-sharing, prevention schemes, and rehabilitation support, UKPAC addresses both the symptoms and causes of criminal behaviour, helping to create safer communities nationwide.
